Last Friday night, Hetherington‘s Sara Winton attended the AMEC (Association of Mining and Exploration Companies) 40th Anniversary function at WA Museum Boola Bardip, with Minister for Mines Bill Johnston.
It was a great night celebrating all the important work and contributions AMEC has achieved for the Mining Industry. Hetherington is a proud AMEC Member and is committed to supporting the association in the future. We look forward to another successful 40 years!
Hetherington‘s Sara Winton attended the AMEC (Association of Mining and Exploration Companies) Boardroom Lunch on the 6th September 2021 with Leader of the Opposition Hon Mia Davies and the Deputy Leader of the Opposition Hon Shane Love. It was a great opportunity to talk about the industry, the vaccination roll-out and how the Mining Industry can get more skilled workers into WA.

It was great to hear about the industry and upcoming projects from clients in Western Australia and across the world regarding battery metals and clean energy.
Mining rehabilitation regulation is set to change in NSW with the recent commencement of the NSW Mining Rehabilitation Reforms. Hetherington Environmental has prepared a summary of some of the changes that will be occurring as all Mining Leases in NSW are transitioned to the new regulatory framework.
On Friday the 15th October, Hetherington‘s Sara Winton, Jake Welton, Lachlan Corinth and Preeti Varadarajan will be participating in the VAULT Corporate Fitness Centres Charity Spin Roadshow to raise money for the Steve Waugh Foundation, Kai Fella Foundation, Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and Give a Feed.
The event was a huge success in 2020 by raising over $35,000 in just 4 days and Hetherington is happy to support such a great cause.

At Hetherington, we embrace and celebrate the cultural diversity of our staff, so today in our Sydney and Perth office, we had a multicultural lunch to learn about each other’s cultures through food. Our lunch featured a wide range of dishes, and it was a great way to interact with one another, especially our Sydney team who have just returned back to the office after 4 months of being in lockdown.
