The NSW Government’s Division of Mining, Exploration and Geoscience (MEG) is inviting explorers to submit Expressions of Interest for new Group 1 mineral exploration licence applications in five Mineral Allocation Areas (MAAs) in NSW. Applicants may submit multiple applications.
The EOI process will allow explorers to access the MAAs – Dubbo, Mundi, Forbes and North and South Cobar – while the NSW Government continues MinEx CRC activities in these regions.
Hetherington has assisted multiple clients in lodging successful applications in previous Mineral Allocation Areas releases by MEG. We would be pleased to assist any explorers with their applications for this round of Expressions of Interest.

There have been a myriad of updates and newsletters sent through by State Departments and Industry bodies relating to Exploration and Mining during the covid-19 pandemic.
If you have any questions relating to any of these updates Australia wide, please contact us and we will assist you in understand how they affect your current portfolio or future planning.
During Hetherington Covid-19 work from home lockdown to keep our people physically fit and mentally prepared to come back to work, we set up the Hetherington Strava challenge. A weekly challenge based on time spent on fitness activities. After four weeks of highly competitive hours of fitness, the winner is NSW based Consultant Ashlee S with runner up, Giselle legal operations manager and a very close third to WA Senior Consultant Sara. We also had a Challenge Participation prize, awarded by the company principal for best overall effort, with this prize being awarded to NSW Consultant Tamara B. Thank you to all involved, with special mention to the Brisbane office participants, who may not have won but put in an outstanding effort.
