ASHLEE ADAMS | Consultant

Ashlee joined the Hetherington team in March 2019.

Prior to joining the Hetherington, Ashlee completed a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Relations degree at the University of Sydney. Ashlee’s studies focussed on Government policy and analysis, geopolitics and international law.

Ashlee completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law and was admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales soon afterwards.

In her role at Hetherington, Ashlee has assisted quarry owners, operators and explorers throughout NSW to prepare and obtain the relevant authorisations and approvals, including Exploration Licence Applications, Mining Lease Applications, activity approvals, Mining Operations Plans and Environment Protection Licences. Her work has focussed on ensuring that authority holders maintain current tenure through compliance with relevant Conditions of Title and applicable legislation, including the Mining Act 1992 (NSW) and Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Act 2013.

More recently, Ashlee has focussed on providing advice related to issues of Native Title, land access and compensation agreements. Further, Ashlee has been successful in demonstrating Native Title extinguishment over tenure in New South Wales.

Ashlee looks forward to continuing to help her clients maintain compliance within a complex regulatory climate.
